Project Planning
Creating a book involves more than writing, editing, and designing. I help guide each of my clients through the web of self-publishing decisions: What size should my book be? Is an ebook necessary? Do I need to copyright my book? Where do I want my book sold? How many copies do I need for my book launch? And the list goes on.

Editing & Design
During the editing process, I use Microsoft Word with Track Changes turned on so you can see the changes I make. You have the final approval for any change. Once the edits are complete, I use Adobe InDesign to create the interior page design (aka make it look like a book). Covers are created using InDesign and Photoshop.

Printing & Launching
Cover templates. Retail price. Categories. Keywords. ISBN. Copyright. Paper choices. Binding options. Uploading files. And on it goes. The details are enough to make some peoples’ heads spin. I will guide you through each step of the uploading process whether you choose popular options like Amazon KDP and IngramSpark or you go with an offset book printer. Don’t give yourself a headache trying to do it alone. I’ve helped dozens of authors, and even wrote a book about the process, so let me guide you.
Kara edited my book, Betrayed and Rejected, and I was so happy with the wording when she finished. She also helped point out the purpose of my book. She is very patient and understanding with her editing services. I would most definitely hire her again.

Client Results

Repeat Clients
Many clients return for help with their second and third (or more!) books. Others only write one book but consistently refer other writers to MCB.

Rankings
Clients who contract a professional edit and cover design often break into the top 5 in their categories (and some even the overall top 500).

Sales
Every year my schedule is busier than the year before. And 90% of the work is from referrals and returning clients.
